The seminar on "Fire & Safety in High-Rise Buildings" took place on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The seminar featured three distinguished resource persons: Dr. Mirza Munir Ahmed, Dr. Muhammad Imran, and Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed. Dr. Mirza Munir Ahmed, who is a Lead HSE and Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Consultant at NOMAC in Oman, shared his extensive knowledge and experience in health, safety, and environmental practices. Dr. Muhammad Imran, Chairman of the Civil Engineering Department at Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology in Karachi, Pakistan, provided an academic perspective on the structural and civil engineering aspects of fire safety. Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed, a Design Engineer (Mechanical) at M/s Atif Nazar (Pvt.) Ltd., discussed the mechanical engineering considerations in designing and maintaining fire safety systems.
